TIP HealthCare, a
leading provider of flu and pneumonia vaccinations in the St. Louis area, has
acquired the vaccination business of St. Charles-based Doctor's Preferred Home
Health Care. The acquisition will allow TIP HealthCare to expand its
immunization program and to add drug testing and in-home phlebotomy to its
service line. Services are available in the entire St. Louis, Missouri
metropolitan area.
TIP HealthCare's immunization program provides both
flu and pneumonia vaccinations to individuals at public sites and to employees
at employer-sponsored worksite clinics. Doctor's Preferred Home Health Care, in
addition to flu and pneumonia vaccinations, also offered vaccinations for
tetanus, hepatitis A and hepatitis B as well as tuberculosis (TB) testing.
"These additional vaccinations and tests are a natural fit with our existing
immunization program," according to Marcy Cox, TIP HealthCare Director. "We
look forward to working with the restaurant industry in providing the hepatitis
A immunizations that food service workers in Missouri are required by law to
have. TIP HealthCare has the staff to expand the availability of hepatitis A
and hepatitis B immunizations and TB testing. We will also be able to offer
more flu and pneumonia immunization clinics."
In TIP HealthCare's drug
testing program, screenings are available to individuals and to companies. The
reliable and accurate drug screenings are done with chain-of-custody procedures
which ensure sample identification and integrity required by legal orders. TIP
HealthCare personnel can guide businesses in the selection of an appropriate
panel of drugs to test for in both prospective and current employees.
